Temper Tantrum

This was the first major VR project I worked on using the HTC Vive, although the game was never completed due to time constraints and with people having other things to work, the result we got came out extremely well. The game was displayed at a few shows and received a lot of good feedback from the general public and other developers themselves.

My role in this project was the 3D Environment Artist, I created some of the level assets and all of the textures. Every texture in the level was hand-painted by me using Photoshop, and I worked alongside another artist who also created props which allowed for a smooth pipeline of asset creation, then texture creation and application.

Working with VR has given me a crash course in the functionality of the Vive and the Viability of VR, which I was previously skeptical about, it allowed me to see how textures and assets looked close up and how they would look scaled up to the size of a room.

The project was started as a module during my MA Games Development course, and ended up with us forming a team and continuing to work on it in our free time as well as after university has concluded.
